Rationale
The aim for this brief was to design a 12-page brochure promoting recreational destinations or activities within the greater Wellington region.
I decided to design a brochure based on 3 popular stargazing hotspots in Wellington, my locations include, Makara Beach, Karori Park and Space Place. I made a point of difference early on to show that they differ from each other in terms of clarity, accessibility and reputation, these are seen throughout my spreads, this way, each site offers a different range of experiences.
I wanted to convey a night time atmosphere, that each location provided, as a backdrop with it being layered with different surroundings to set them apart from each other. I achieved this by distributing three layers of information to each composition.
If I had to do something differently I would have spent more time experimenting with grid composition and font and work less on my illustrations, next project I will have a more balanced approach.
